The Mighty Avenger...I Mean, the Mighty Wizard is Back

It's been an EXTREMELY long time since I've been here. Let's see, since April 10, 2014! But it's good to be back!

I know you guys have been wondering where I was the past year or so, whether if it is the wizardsphere or blogosphere.

"Have you been living under a rock, Mr. Talon?"

No, I'm just extremely busy... and I did lose interest in this game a year or two ago. Not only did I find other games to play with, such as League of Legends, Smite, and Vindictus, but school occupied and still occupies a lot of my time to this day.

However, I did develop some new interests. I found a new love for superheroes. Ever since the movies blockbusters Avengers: Assemble and Thor: The Dark World came out, I was immediately hooked onto their themes and heroes, music and action. My favorite superhero of all time is Thor, the Mighty Avenger, the Asgardaian God of Thunder. Biggest Thor fan right here. (Anyone catch the Avengers: Age of Ultron Red Carpet Live Premiere and hyped for the movie?) If you don't know what he looks like here's a picture of him.

So it hit me.

By gathering all the wizard and clothing knowledge I knew, I swiftly made my wizard become the Mighty Thor. How could I not do this? It was the best of both worlds; superheroes and wizards coming together. It all started when I was just browsing my backpack in the robe section when I found a robe that closely resembled that of Thor's outfit. The armor of Thor, I marveled. I then ventured through my boots which thankfully were in my backpack. And for the hat, I wasn't quite sure yet. But the most exciting part was the hammer.

I didn't have a hammer...

So I looked up what kinds of hammers were in Wizard101. There had to be at least one. One was the Galvanic Hammer, which wasn't accessible to me because it was included in a bundle gift card (and really pricey). Browsing other hammers, I came across the Hammer of the Stone Sky.

Sounds way much better the Galvanic Hammer

It came to my attention that this wand was actually a crafted item, so I was going to have to acquire the recipe. Oh Merle, I thought. I'm gonna have to do find a heck a lot of reagents and whatnot to craft this thing. Turns out, the recipe wasn't that hard! I only needed some centaur cards, several pristine vials, and a few fossils.

The crafting station is actually a Grizzlehiem Crafting Station, which is in Hall of the Ice Forge, Northguard, Grizzleheim.  For those who don't know, the recipe can be bought by Ingulf the Grower from Vestrilund, Grizzleheim. Say hi, Ingulf.

[insert bear greetings]

And with a slight cost of 5,345 gold, I present you the Hammer of the Stone Sky.

Talon, the Mighty Wizard.

I fell in love with this outfit and idea. I added a finishing touch of the Arcus mount for the thunderous effect. In the last picture, you can see a winged hat, in which Thor occasionally wears in the comics and movies.

Eventually, I found out I had a blond long hairstyle in my shared bank that matched Thor's hair.

So here is a rundown list of the items I used.
  • The Hocus Pocus (hairstyle)
  • Vindicator's Helm (hat)
  • Armor of Many Winters (robe)
  • Night King's Sabatons (boots)
  • Hammer of the Stone Sky (wand, 4 Centaurs TC, 8 Ghost Fire, 10 Pristine Vial, 3 Black Pearl, 16 Scales, 9 Fossil)
  • Arcus Mount (mount)

I can encourage all you wizards to try something like this. It was so much fun to find everything and to dress up as my favorite superhero. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you for reading. I can gladly say I miss writing blog posting, and it feels great to do it again!

My Phoenix Hoard

Sup readers?

I've been busy biking and playing piano, but that doesn't mean I haven't been playing Wizard.

Oh! Will you look at that! 15,000 views! Brilliant, thank you, guys. Anyway...

I hear the Pirate101 is almost out and KI's giving away bundles that are quite expensive. Spooky Bob's back and so are Jack and his scarecrow crew.

Good ol' Bob.

Feel like in death row.

Now about this post. The day I got the Phoenix pack was the first when it came out. Must I add, it's one of the best pack ever created. 1) The gear looks wicked. 2) Wand is powerful 3) Fantastic furniture. The gear gives adequate stats except health; it's very low. But the pack gives a Kraken statue! Who doesn't want a Kraken statue? Phoenix: massive flaming wings that stretches through the screen. Let's see the roll.

Sweet hat and bed.

The Snow Apple seems interesting.

Phoenix. Hands down.

FROST DRAGON

SPEAR

Death hat

Death boots

Nice boots, just need the robe...

Another Phoenix?? Alright! And a Kraken!

Just weird ideas they're brewing up.

Finally got the robe.

Got the Gargoyle on my death.

Now let's test that Frost Dragon.

I really like this pack. The gear stats and appearance is magnificent. The possibility of getting something good  from a few packs is satisfying, unlike many past packs.

"Inferno"

Phoenix Hoard gear: Heroic Picture of the Day.

I have to give this pack a 10/10.
Well you guys have a nice day tomorrow whether if you have a day off or not!

Majestic Bundle!

A week or two ago, I bought the Majestic Bundle.

And may I add, it has such a wonderful, splendid - MAGNIFICENT house. The interior and exterior is huge, beautiful, and full of surprises. I can't really show you anything yet because I'm currently working on it, but I will show you a tour when it's finished. Despite the repeating strange beast pet from the Knight's Lore pack, the Arthurian Dragon mount saved it. It's a two-person mount. What's strange is that it's called "Malorian Dragon" in the game. I give the gear a score of 7/10 because A) It doesn't give accuracy and not enough defense B) Armor piercing is unnecessary C) Cards aren't that good.

170 Health, 6% Attack, 2% Defense, 3% Incoming,  1% Outgoing

240 Heatlh, 9% Attack, 2% Defense, 5% Incoming, 1% Outgoing

345 Health, 2% PP, 15% Attack, 3% Defense, 6% Incoming, 2% Outgoing

510 Health, 8% PP, 19% Attack, 5% Defense, 8% Incoming, 3% Outgoing

580 Health, 9% PP, 2% Armor Piercing, 15 Critical, 30 Block, 20% Attack, 6% Defense, 9% Incoming, 3% Outgoing

690 Health, 11% PP. 3% Armor Piercing, 20 Critical, 43 Block, 25% Attack, 6% Defense, 9% Incoming, 4% Outgoing

800 Health, 14%PP, 4% Armor Piercing, 25 Critical, 55 Block, 27% Attack, 8% Defense, 9% Incoming, 4% Outgoing

960 Health, 17% PP, 4% Armor Piercing, 35 Critical, 70 Block, 30% Attack, 9% Defense, 11% Incoming, 5% Outgoing

1100 Health, 19% PP, 5% Armor Piercing, 48 Critical, 91 Block, 33% Attack, 10% Defense, 13% Incoming, 6% Outgoing.

That took a long time to calculate.

Anyway, the reason why the stats are lower than the Waterworks gear is because the Legendary (Waterworks) gear is dropped from a very hard and long dungeon, whereas the bundle gear just gives it to you. The spear is usual. What's intersting is that the card doesn't say it include a Caliburn Tapestry and an additional house elixir. Guess those are just are unnotified bonuses.

Now you might have noticed that I haven't posted anything about my Talon. It's because he's been wearing the Malorian Dragon in the pictures, and I didn't want to show any picutres with the mount until this post was published.

Oh and here's a picture of the dragon

I'll call you Malory.

I did get to have a chat today with my dear friend Rachel Windtalon over at The Helpful Sorcerer. Check it out! What's really ironic is while I talking to her, I didn't realize I was within 20 wizard walking steps within her! It's just those time where you happen to be at the same place and time.

I see her in a battle.

Then I later helped her a boss and see what the (Death) Ninja Pigs look like from a distance. Pretty cool.

Rachel, it was nice talking to you. I hope to see you more around the spiral!

50th Post! Results of the Nightmare and Cancer Walk Review

Wow, three months and a half later, I have my 50th post. With all the help of my friends, I have accomplished: 4850+ views, 46 followers, and 50 posts! Thanks, guys! I am really flourished and astounded. Because of that... I will release my Secret Project Contest Thingy! That's right, but what is this "Secret Project Contest Thingy" you say? I say it's the... FUN MAZE of the WYVERN OF FIRE WATER!
"That's a weird title."

Um... I'll explain this later in this post.

Ok, so, my poll results! Here we go!
-----------------------

Which new pegasus mount are you going to buy?

Nightflame 1 (9%)
Skyracer 0 (0%)
Both 0 (0%)
Neither 3 (27%)
I ran out of crowns 5 (45%)
I'm saving my crowns 2 (18%)

(11 voted)

I wasn't expcecting that many votes considering that the pegasus mount is very expensive. But I did give three other options.

Which school do you think is the most populated?

Fire 9 (20%)
Ice 2 (4%)
Storm 9 (20%)
Myth 0 (0%)
Life 1 (2%)
Death 19 (42%)
Balance 3 (6%)
what? 2 (4%)

(45 voted)
Now Death sucked out everyone's lives here. It was almost equivalent to fire and storm combined. The school of myth was not voted at all.

So I now there is a new poll: Which storyline all of time do you like best from each world?

---------------------

I found this in a book in a store.
So a Nightmare is actually a real creature. Well, in the mythical world of course. But would've thought that you find that creature in w101 and in a book?

Ok, so the Cancer Walk of 2011 that Evil Theurgist was hosting was yesterday. I had a great time there. I did get to meet and add Jason Goldriver and my own fan, Eric Fireblood. Yes, I have a fan. Jason Goldriver runs the blog Swordroll. He is an aweosme wizard, and it would be grand if you followed his blog. I kept getting lost and behind throughout the event though XD. Edward Lifegem just laughed at the ones who got in a battle while walking with the crowd.

Colossus Boulevard pit stop.
We take a dip in Triton Avenue.

A scene, nothing much.
We care for the cure.

That's a a lot of wizards carrying a lot of swords ready to destory the cause of cancer. We definitly raised the awareness of cancer much more than just a bar yesterday.

Another view of most of the people who attended.

A circle. Well, oval...ellipse.
So apparently, after the cancer walk I went to my "wizard101 file" in documents. I moved it to the desktop so it was easier to access my wizard101 pictures. Turns out that there wasn't a zoom for it. So I moved it back to the documents. Then I lost it :P. With the convulsion of 30 minutes of rumaging through files, I found it. There's nothing to worry about.

FUN MAZE of the WYVERN OF FIRE WATER!

"What the heckhound is that?"

It's my biggest world domi-- No, it's my new maze I am releasing! It will be stretched through 3 houses. Your goal from each house is to find a number of things which is easy to count and find the teleporter linking from one to another. Each house has something you need to count for. There will prizes. I will not tell you just yet. There will be a total of either 5 winners. First 5 people who send the email of the required number of things found from each house wins. More information will be told later this month. If you're confusedm don't worry. This is just to get you all hyped for it.

As for the Wizard Drawings, I am still continuing. I just can't find the time to sit down and draw. Nicholas, if you are reading this. I have not failed you yet! Hang on. For the Expedition, this is still going. I need to find the things and events though. So bare with me.
Wow, you made it through the end of my 50th post. Gratz. I gotta play some wiz now lol. Oh, and also, I have a new page up, All My Headers! These include the first one to the latest one. Check it out!

What a Day!

The Ravenwood Ball was a BLAST!!! I had a chance to meet a lot of wizards! I had lots of fun at Blaze Shadowhorn's mini-party!
Yep, there were tons of wizards in Ravenwood. All those blue stuff over there heads.

Aaron and me twin form! And the badge is Technomancer! *tells Sirs Zeus to stop putting phoenix wings on wizards' back*  This was at Blaze Shadowhorn's Sultans Palace, and we were trying to find some scrolls for a scavenger hunt. We only found 12 out of 20.

This glitch took place in the commons during the morning. Very glitchy.

Disco dance floor?
So Cody Dragonrider (Superior) received his level 18 spell quest and met a scarecrow.

Curse you, Curse!

Then he leveled up to 19.

His current stats.

Heroic Picture of the Day: This was me when I was a noob. I really liked the colors of it.

Last picture, Aaron Starheart learned this house trick. So I am stuck in this Dragonspyre Brazier. Go ahead put some fire in it and light up my head. Hope you had a great Ravenwood Ball experience!

Shelby Rose: Pleasant peasant with a pheasant.
