Views from the Pics

So it's been a while. I hope you readers are still with me. I have been playing this game from time to time but only when I'm free during the holidays or breaks.

Don't worry.

Let's see here...

  • Craft the Celestial Observatory House - check

    • Level 96 - check
    • Complete Tower of the Helephant, Hades' Tartarus, Azteca - check
    • Death Wizard Cody Dragonrider solo Celestia - check

As you see, there's a lot of catch up to do, but I am getting there.

New additions to this game include house magic, monstrology (?) and attack-boosted mounts (ghultures). Tell me what you guys think of those features. I have to praise that Wizard has truly come together in such advanced ways. Though, I feel as if I am never able to catch up and reach the level cap in time and anticipate the next world. It's alright, I'm just taking my time.

I have to do note; when I play this beautiful game, I find myself screenshot-ing (often too many times) the wonderful scenery Wizard has to offer. As I quest, there are a few areas around the spiral that are just breathtaking. Here are some Views from the Pics ft. Talon and Cody.

    "Falling" for these views

Itching to get the Olympian Bundle. Can't wait for Bundle-a-Palooza in September

When you meet your favorite iconic duo

(Yeah so I stole Zeus's lightning bolts)

One bee in a turtleneck sweater.

Look at Zeus's face. He looks so done with our crap.

So the next time you venture the spiral, appreciate the gorgeous and luxurious vistas the game has implemented.

    Happy Holidays from Yours Truly

What a year! How is everyone? Yes, I'm alive and well! Where do I begin?

First off, may I wish everyone Happy Holidays to everyone from the wizarding world to the real world! 'Tis the season to bundle up, catch up on some Wizard, and spend some time with family. I've gotten the time to celebrate the holidays with my good friend Mary Dreamshade at her Myth House.

When Kingsisle literally puts a Philosoraptor meme into their game.

Now I know I haven't been posting much anymore, but I have been playing more with the help of some friends. I'm currently questing in the Mangr, Azteca, level 84. I highly enjoyed the scenic views and dinosaurs roaming the land. On my death wizard Cody Dragonrider, he has successfully soloed every single boss from Wizard City to Dragonspyre!

I cannot wait how I will be challenged in the next worlds!

Much of Wizard101 has changed since I last played, regarding shadow pips, crafting, fishing, Mirage... It's a lot to take in. But ranging from dank memes of the Bee Movie, Harambe, Arthur Fist, caveman spongebob to the 2016 Presidential Election, from scandalous events at the Olympics to the worldwide release of Pokemon Go, and from the untimely passing aways to the split of Brangelina, 2016 was a lot to take in, too. Though one must understand this is what life is all about: events ever-changing through human and non-human forces. It is up to us to do something good of what is left.

So whether you're soloing or questing with friends, training your pets, or even playing wizard musical instruments, know that we should continue championing through our rather busy lives and that there is always good in the Spiral.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

The Mighty Avenger...I Mean, the Mighty Wizard is Back

It's been an EXTREMELY long time since I've been here. Let's see, since April 10, 2014! But it's good to be back!

I know you guys have been wondering where I was the past year or so, whether if it is the wizardsphere or blogosphere.

"Have you been living under a rock, Mr. Talon?"

No, I'm just extremely busy... and I did lose interest in this game a year or two ago. Not only did I find other games to play with, such as League of Legends, Smite, and Vindictus, but school occupied and still occupies a lot of my time to this day.

However, I did develop some new interests. I found a new love for superheroes. Ever since the movies blockbusters Avengers: Assemble and Thor: The Dark World came out, I was immediately hooked onto their themes and heroes, music and action. My favorite superhero of all time is Thor, the Mighty Avenger, the Asgardaian God of Thunder. Biggest Thor fan right here. (Anyone catch the Avengers: Age of Ultron Red Carpet Live Premiere and hyped for the movie?) If you don't know what he looks like here's a picture of him.

    So it hit me.

By gathering all the wizard and clothing knowledge I knew, I swiftly made my wizard become the Mighty Thor. How could I not do this? It was the best of both worlds; superheroes and wizards coming together. It all started when I was just browsing my backpack in the robe section when I found a robe that closely resembled that of Thor's outfit. The armor of Thor, I marveled. I then ventured through my boots which thankfully were in my backpack. And for the hat, I wasn't quite sure yet. But the most exciting part was the hammer.

    I didn't have a hammer...

So I looked up what kinds of hammers were in Wizard101. There had to be at least one. One was the Galvanic Hammer, which wasn't accessible to me because it was included in a bundle gift card (and really pricey). Browsing other hammers, I came across the Hammer of the Stone Sky.

Sounds way much better the Galvanic Hammer

It came to my attention that this wand was actually a crafted item, so I was going to have to acquire the recipe. Oh Merle, I thought. I'm gonna have to do find a heck a lot of reagents and whatnot to craft this thing. Turns out, the recipe wasn't that hard! I only needed some centaur cards, several pristine vials, and a few fossils.

The crafting station is actually a Grizzlehiem Crafting Station, which is in Hall of the Ice Forge, Northguard, Grizzleheim.  For those who don't know, the recipe can be bought by Ingulf the Grower from Vestrilund, Grizzleheim. Say hi, Ingulf.

    [insert bear greetings]

And with a slight cost of 5,345 gold, I present you the Hammer of the Stone Sky.

    Talon, the Mighty Wizard.

I fell in love with this outfit and idea. I added a finishing touch of the Arcus mount for the thunderous effect. In the last picture, you can see a winged hat, in which Thor occasionally wears in the comics and movies.

Eventually, I found out I had a blond long hairstyle in my shared bank that matched Thor's hair.

So here is a rundown list of the items I used.
    • The Hocus Pocus (hairstyle)
    • Vindicator's Helm (hat)
    • Armor of Many Winters (robe)
    • Night King's Sabatons (boots)
    • Hammer of the Stone Sky (wand, 4 Centaurs TC, 8 Ghost Fire, 10 Pristine Vial, 3 Black Pearl, 16 Scales, 9 Fossil)
    • Arcus Mount (mount)

I can encourage all you wizards to try something like this. It was so much fun to find everything and to dress up as my favorite superhero. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you for reading. I can gladly say I miss writing blog posting, and it feels great to do it again!

*Excludes two new mounts Gold-Wrought Eagle and Dual Dragonflyer

    So how are you all?
It's been quite a long time, since I've been to the blog, and generally Wizard101.
Anyway, KingsIsle is hosting yet another Mount-a-Palooza, introducing two new mounts this time: Gold-Wrought Eagle and Dual Dragonflyer. This time, however, has each permanent mount for 5000 crowns or less. That's a pretty good deal if you ask me.  Although it says the sale excludes the two new mounts, both of them aren't badly priced: Eagle for 6750 (original price: 7500) and Dragonfly for 11250 (original price: 12500.) I suppose the Eagle depicts either parts of Aquila regarding to the Sky God Zeus, and the Dragonfly regarding to Khrysalis.
I think I will call him Thor.

    Dinged Level 78!

And when one reaches 78, he or she receives their school pet!

In my case, Efreet KING RILEY!
    Don't you just love him!

I named after my friend in real life, so I have now immortalized him as king!

                                                                     Burn some obsidian...
Currently, I'm in Lake Shore, almost done with it. However, I checked the places after it, and I wasn't happy with it. I still have Deepwater, the Catacombs, Crystal Caves, Ghost Avalon Instance, and Keep of Ganelon Instance.

    Spiderlegs....
